Introduction

The Corporate Actions Section is a progressive organization that continues to strive toward bringing problems and/or issues to the forefront of the securities industry. We are always seeking input and your participation in the committees addressing today’s problems, as well as tomorrow issues.

INDUSTRY COMMITTEES


STP COMMITTEE
CHAIR: JOHN WAGNER

This newly formed committee’s purpose will be to identify potential issues within the Corporate Actions environment arising from the industry conversion to a T+1 settlement cycle. We are actively pursuing membership participation in a series of round table discussions to begin discussing this issue and the impact on Corporate Actions.

PROXY COMMITTEE
CHAIR: LEWIS TREZZA

A committee dedicated to identifying and addressing today’s problems, as well as tomorrow’s issues within the Proxy arena. The most current undertaking by the committee was working with the Section’s Board of Directors in preparing a letter to the SEC outlining our response to their recent proposal on House holding. INTERNET COMMITTEE
CHAIR: LEONARD E. BELVEDERE

A newly formed committee dedicated to providing innovative ideas for the Sections Web Site. The committee will be responsible for maintaining the information within the site and where appropriate expand the sites information and functionality.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
CHAIR: JOSEPH PORCELLO

The standing operating committee within the Section accountable for our annual membership retention effort and the publication of the membership directory. More importantly, the committee is responsible for continuing our efforts to expand the breadth and scope of the Section’s membership so we may continue to maintain our ability to bring the finest representation of the industry to our membership.

EDUCATION / ENTERTAINMENT
CHAIR:

A committee dedicated to bringing the finest in Educational Seminars to our membership. The committee is always working with industry representatives who are leaders in their field in order to provide seminars and presentations of the latest trends or products identified by our membership, for our membership.

NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE
CHAIR:

The eyes, ears and pen of the Corporate Actions Section. A committee whose goal is to provide informative updates through our quarterly Newsletter on the latest issues and trends within the Securities Industry and the Section to our membership.
 
SOFTWARE AND DATA SOLUTIONS
CHAIR:  JOHN DOLAN
 
A newly formed committee dedicated to stimulating participation and attendance at the Section's Global Actions Forum on Software and Data Solutions. The committee will be responsible for revising the forum's format to make it more appealing to the membership.
