Dear Dividend Division Member, In recent months, the Officers and Executive Board of the Dividend Division have been discussing the critical importance of creating a stronger and more unified organization that would meet the future challenges of our membership as well as the current strategic objectives of SIFMA. In order to achieve these goals, our Board began a dialogue with the Corporate Actions Division of SIFMA to merge the two SIFMA Divisions. I am pleased to announce that our Board unanimously approved this merger which will be effective January 1, 2010. At that time, our shared interests will be represented by one organization, under the name of the Corporate Actions Section of the Technology and Operations Society of SIFMA.
